Southcott Farm in Devon has been voted by H&H readers as one of their favourite venues for cross-country schooling. It has a mini course for beginners, as well as a course with a range of fences for more experience combinations.

Southcott XC has, to date, had literally thousands of horses & riders compete or school over the 2.5 km Cross-country course,set within 280 acres of beautiful rolling Devon farm and woodland.

The Cross Country course, Dressage and Show jumping arenas are regularly aerated to British Eventing Standards to ensure you have the best going possible on the day of the event.

Southcott XC changes on a regular basis so if you are a frequent visitor please DO expect to get caught out if you don't walk the course!

There is ample parking for any size of vehicle and toilets on site. Getting to us is very easy as we are straight off the main road, so no back lanes to tackle.

We offer a variety of courses which include:
A Mini Course with 15 jumps over approximately 1000 metres at 45cm(1ft6in) including the water jump.

Full courses which are 2500 metres long and are from 70cm(2ft3in) to 110cm(3ft7in) including all the sizes between.

Local caterers are available for events if required.

Southcott XC are always looking for Volunteer Jump Judges/stewards (No experience necessary) to help with all of the 2010 seasons competitions and events. Volunteers Form

Please complete the Volunteers Form if you could possibly make yourself available, to assist in judging at any of the years events (which are usually on a Saturday or Sunday).
